Roadside reality
An inspection result often begins with decisions made well before the truck reaches the scale or roadside inspection area.

Founder & Principal Advisor
More than 20 years of commercial vehicle safety experience—from roadside enforcement and federal investigations to commercial fleet insurance risk and loss control.
The experience behind the guidance
Fleet Safety Advisors is a new advisory practice. The experience behind it was built over more than two decades in commercial vehicle safety.
His career has included enforcing commercial vehicle requirements at the roadside, conducting federal compliance investigations, evaluating fleet risk in commercial insurance, and training new investigators. He founded Fleet Safety Advisors to apply those perspectives directly to the regulatory and safety problems motor carriers face.
“I don't just want to know whether the paperwork is there. I want to know what is actually happening and where the process is breaking down.”
Professional background
10 years
Jeremy conducted roadside commercial vehicle inspections and crash investigations, developing a practical understanding of how regulations, vehicle condition, driver decisions, and operating practices meet on the road.
10+ years
He conducted federal compliance investigations and helped train new investigators. That work required looking beyond individual documents to determine whether a carrier's safety-management controls were functioning in practice.
Commercial fleet insurance
Jeremy later evaluated fleet risk from the insurance perspective—connecting inspections, crashes, management practices, and corrective action with the way a carrier communicates and controls risk.
What carriers gain
Each perspective changes the questions asked and helps connect an individual violation or missing record to the operating process behind it.
An inspection result often begins with decisions made well before the truck reaches the scale or roadside inspection area.
A complete file matters, but investigators also examine whether the process behind the file is consistent, supported, and effective.
Recurring violations and crashes are management information. The goal is to find the process allowing the pattern to continue.
