Fleet Safety Watch

Monthly CSA & SMS Monitoring With a Clear Corrective-Action Plan

Know what FMCSA sees—and what to do about it.

Fleet Safety Advisors reviews your authorized FMCSA safety data each month, identifies meaningful changes and recurring patterns, and delivers a clear, carrier-specific action plan your team can use. No standing meetings required.

Led by Jeremy Croft — Former FMCSA Safety Investigator and Former State Trooper

A monthly review that leads to action

More than a dashboard. A practical monthly response plan.

Most carriers can see at least some of their FMCSA data. The difficult part is knowing what changed, which patterns actually deserve attention, and what to do next.

Fleet Safety Watch turns your monthly FMCSA safety data into a plain-language report and documented corrective-action plan. Each review is built around your operation’s actual inspection activity, violations, crashes, prior action items, and trends over time.

Monthly deliverables

What You Receive Each Month

01

Complete FMCSA Safety Data Review

Review of the carrier’s authorized FMCSA SMS information, including relevant measures, inspection activity, violations, crash activity, and investigation history available through the carrier’s portal access.

02

Trend and Pattern Analysis

Comparison with prior reporting periods to identify meaningful changes, repeat violation types, recurring maintenance or driver-behavior concerns, and emerging risks.

03

Plain-Language Advisory Report

A clear monthly report designed for the carrier owner, operations leader, or safety manager—not just a data export.

04

Customized Corrective-Action Plan

Practical recommendations tailored to the carrier’s actual activity, with a recommended step, responsible role, target date, and documentation or evidence to retain.

05

Action-Item Follow-Through

Unresolved recommendations carry forward so important items do not disappear after one report.

06

DataQ Review Opportunities

If an inspection, crash, or violation appears to warrant closer review, the report identifies the opportunity. DataQ preparation or filing is available separately when needed.

How it works

Simple Setup. Clear Monthly Oversight.

  1. 1

    Enroll and Authorize Access

After enrollment, your company adds Fleet Safety Advisors as an authorized user in the FMCSA Portal. Your company retains control of its account and access.

  2. 2

    We Establish Your Baseline

We review the available safety data, document the starting point, identify meaningful patterns, and create the first action tracker.

  3. 3

    Receive Your Monthly Advisory Report

After the FMCSA monthly data refresh, you receive a clear report showing what changed, what requires attention, progress on prior actions, and the next recommended steps.

No standing monthly meeting is required. This service is built for carriers that want consistent expert oversight and a written action plan without a recurring meeting schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers before you enroll.

Do I have to attend a monthly meeting?

No. Fleet Safety Watch is an asynchronous monthly monitoring service. You receive a written report and corrective-action plan without a required standing meeting.

What information do you review?

The review is based on the carrier’s authorized FMCSA safety data, including relevant SMS information, inspection and violation activity, crash activity, investigation history, and prior action items available through the carrier’s portal access.

Will you need my FMCSA login or PIN?

No. Your company should add Fleet Safety Advisors as an authorized portal user. Your company retains control of its credentials and can remove access at any time.

Can you guarantee that my CSA measures will improve?

No. FMCSA data reflects many factors, including roadside inspection activity and the accuracy of reported information. Fleet Safety Advisors provides professional analysis and recommended corrective actions, but cannot guarantee a specific measure, rating, insurance, or enforcement outcome.

Does this include DataQs?

The monthly report can flag potential DataQ opportunities. DataQ research, preparation, and submission are separate services when needed.

Does this replace my safety manager?

No. Fleet Safety Watch provides an outside monthly review and corrective-action guidance. The carrier remains responsible for operating safely, maintaining required records, and implementing corrective actions.

When will I receive my report?

Reports are prepared after the FMCSA monthly data refresh and according to the carrier’s established reporting schedule.

Can this help with an FMCSA audit or investigation?

The monthly history and documented corrective actions can be useful preparation. Active audit or investigation assistance is separate and available as needed.
